This book is about a book club called “Wine and Words.” Eight women in Pensacola, Florida, meet once a month to discuss a book, enjoy a meal, and drink lots of wine. The more wine, the more words—this is a group that likes to have fun!

Laid out one month at a time, Wine and Words: A Book about a Book Club © 2013 documents the meetings of Wine and Words during the year 2012 with colorful anecdotes and photographs interspersed throughout the pages. It includes the four-course dinner menus served by the hosts in rotation; remarks from each meeting attributed to the host and her member guests; member profiles; and a recap of Wine and Words’ group outings. The collection also features favorite recipes; a list of all books read by Wine and Words since its formation in 2006; and commentary reflecting the eight members’ favorite books, least favorite books, favorite characters, and favorite outings.

The bonds are deep and the friendships and love among Wine and Words members shine through the pages like a full moon rising over the Gulf of Mexico.
