The Impact of Impact 100 Pensacola Bay Area
The nonprofit “IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area” published two volumes of The Impact of IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area © 2014 and © 2019 to commemorate the organization’s 10- and 15-year anniversaries. Inspired by the proven model developed by a group of similarly-minded women in Cincinnati, Ohio, the founding board members gave life to effective local philanthropy in 2003.
Accompanied by photographs, The Impact of IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area gives meaning to the mission of the supporting members: to know and serve the community; to collectively fund significant grants to charitable initiatives; and to set an example of effective philanthropy. The coveted two-volume set spotlights the nonprofits awarded grants between the 1st and 10th years (Volume I) and between the 11th and 15th years (Volume II).
The IMPACT 100 story underscores the impact of annually pooling a $1,000 donation from each member of the women’s all-volunteer organization. Collectively, the members review applications from qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations and award $100,000+ grants to nonprofits each year in benefit to families, education, health, environment, and arts and culture in the two-county Pensacola Bay area. The year 2013 marked the 10-year anniversary of IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area. Leveraging their collective resources, the members funded 47 grants to 39 nonprofits in the cumulative amount of $5.2 million to revitalize our communities. Steady growth increased the financial impact to $10.5 million by the 15-year anniversary mark with 98 grants awarded to over 70 nonprofit organizations since inception.
An anonymous donor funded publication of the two-set collection as a way to recognize the stewardship of the nonprofits and the impact the awards have made in benefit to the communities served. As a proud IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area member since 2007, Chrstine Broderick Emmanuel contributed to the first volume as a co-editor and to the second volume as a co-author and photographer. The books were produced primarily for the members and nonprofits; they are not available for sale.
